Description

Taller than normal, 13-year-old Cajun girl, Petite Marie Melancon is hired by Maxwell I. Discover, the New York publisher of Kurrent Komics, to be the heroine of The Kajun Kween comic strip. Petite’s seems to find plenty of adventure in the Chenier Country of south Louisiana to supply stories for the comic strip. Cheniers are ridges in otherwise lowland where wildlife abounds. Petite encounters, snakes, a mama alligator when she innocently inspects a nest of young, rescues a young potbelly pig caught up in a hurricane, and joins in festivals events. She has a good, although sometimes dangerous time, and a little romance among her fun-loving Cajun people. Kajun Kween is available in eBook format from Amazon for $2.99. The paperback version of The Kajun Kween is out of print but used copies can be ordered on Amazon. Published 2011.
