Description

Iran: In A Persian Market is a compilation of news columns written during the reign of the Shahanshah, 1973-75, when Diane and her family lived in Iran. The original edition of this book, published in 1980, is no longer available, yet readers remain interested in the everyday personal experiences of an American family living in Iran. The stories of that experience still seem relevant four decades later, although the country and region have vastly changed politically. Perhaps the stories have remained relevant because they are about the people of Iran and not the country’s politics. Diane says she never seems to be “done” writing about the experience of living in the mideast. She has written two other books about Iran since publication of Iran: In a Persian Market; a children’s book entitled, Sophie’s Sojourn in Persia, and The Holy Present and Farda, her first book of poetry about Iran. Iran: In a Persian Market is also available in eBook format from Amazon for $3.49. Published 2015.
