Above the Prairie is a poetic study of the broad Cajun Prairie environment In Louisiana and its early inhabitants from Attakapas and Opelousas Indian tribes to Cajun migrations. A historical perspective of the prairie culture, the poems are, by turn, elegiac and mysterious. Includes a section entitled “An Everyday Journal” that records ironic, lyrical observations about ordinary life, which may inspire memories of the reader’s own life. Published 2017.
